Alright everyone, those of you in the WV chapter already know this, but I am taking over the website and am in the process of redesiging it. But before I can do that I will need some stuff from each of your chapters. Here are what I can think of off the top of my head:
From pres of each chapter:description/mission statement of your chapter to list as a bio for your group.
From each member: a recent picture of your car with the make model year etc of it (don't need any mod info though) and what chapter you are a part of.
I also need everyone to set up a car domain site and send me the address of that as well (make sure your name and chapter is in that email as well). This has become a new thought because we had problems with the website before being incorrect and people doing new mods and the updates weren't getting done by the previous person or were wrong.
So to eliminate that and to save our bandwith I am setting it up differently this time. I will have a page that links off of the main page that is called the chapter page. There you will find a small bio on each chapter then a link to each chapters own members page. On there I will set up a thumbnail type setup with the picture of your choosing of your car, (pictiure will be 225x170 so pic your picture accordingly, no far off shots please) and below I will have your name and basic car info and clicking on that will link to your car domain site.
This will insure that our site doesn't exceed bandwith and is always up and running and it also allows each of the members to add pictures as they take them and change mods to the car as necssary.
The rules for the cardomain site will be the same as you would represent yourself anywhere. Try to stay away from profanity, nudity, etc as that this will be accessible from our site and we do not wish to tarnish our reputation because of one members choice of posting on their own site.
Each person will be responsible for getting their site set up and keeping it updated. If you do not have computer access or have trouble with this contact me and I will be more than happy to help you out. I am hoping to have the site up by this coming weekend so send me what you can when you get a chance and I will get it assembled as I get it.
I hope that this new setup will look/work much better and I am open to any suggestions and am easily reached any of these three ways in this order.
