Chris...what brand are they? Are they powerslot rotors? If so, they are just OEM rotors that have been machined with the slots and cross holes.

Yesterday I put my new front rotors on and they look great. Problem is that after I got the drivers side done I torqued one of my lugs too much and i brok off the stud. I was like "damn". I got it fixed today however so its all good. Now i just got to let my pads get acustomed to the new rotors because I didnt put newer pads on with them as reccommended. I think it will be fine over a few houndred miles because the pads are still in almost brand new condition.

It may be in your owners manual or you may have to search the net for it. Torquing the wheels down without a torque wrench will warp the rotors and will cause your brakes and rotors to wear unevenly because each stud will be torqued at a different rate. The torque spec should be aroun 100 ft-lb or so. Look it up to be sure.

and isn't it the best practice to go ahead and replace the brake pads as well with new rotors....any inperfections on the old pads that could have been left by the previous rotors can cause uneaven wear on the rotors...thus tearing them up faster...

Yep...but depending on how old the pads are it may not be a big deal. If they had many miles on them at all though I would change them. What happens is that the pads don't seat properly with the rotors which causes uneven wear and you aren't maximizing your stopping power.

I dont have a torque wrench, but everything is fine now. Also the pads didnt have a bunch of miles on them and they seem to working jsut fine.

Yea I guess I should. I got my panhard rod in today so Im gonna go have it put on tomorrow. Because for some odd reason the nut is an oddball size. I didnt have a socket or wrench to fit it.
